Resistive load bank: How does it work?

A resistive load bank converts electrical energy into heat via resistors, thereby simulating a purely active load. This is the industry-standard solution for testing equipment with a predominantly resistive load: generators, UPS systems, and backup power supplies. Easier to implement than a resistive-reactive bank, it meets the vast majority of testing needs in industrial and commercial settings.
